Thank you to all the yogis, yoginis, friends, and supporters who showed up for Yogis Unite last weekend in Drake Park. Such a beautiful show, and wonderful to share with you all! Vasudeva at Yogis Unite 2! September 10th, 2011

Yep, it’s Vasudeva time again. Join us for Yogis Unite 2 — a weekend-long, epic outdoor yoga fest here in Bend, Oregon. We’ll be playing for the main class on Saturday morning, outside in Drake Park. Last year was an awesome success, and this year’s YU should be an even more awesome gathering. Vasudeva! Friday, May 13th

Join us for our ritual night of yoga, sound and movement at Mandala Yoga Community. Each transformational vinyasa practice is based on the teachings of the 5 elements of nature, and each practice evolves with the changing of the seasons and life cycles. This month we celebrate the return of fertility. To the Celts, the month of May is known as Beltane. Great bonfires would mark a time of purification and transition, heralding in the season and the hope of a good harvest and protection. So, please bring your fiery spirits and warm hearts filled with love and joy!

Next Vasudeva Experience: Friday, April 8th

It’s been a while since we’ve posted anything fresh here on the blog, but that doesn’t mean nothing’s been happening! Last month’s Vasudeva session at Mandala Yoga Community was EPIC. Yes, EPIC. All caps are essential here, and even they don’t express the wonder, the magnificence, the ecstatic union that transpired last month at MYC. Whoa. EPIC. Delicious. Deep rhythms, jungle sounds, transcendental free-form movement, hoots and hollers, incredible dancing, sweat on the walls. The windows were fogged within minutes! Smiling faces all around, and a big puppy pile at the end!

Sound crazy? Well, it was. If you missed our March experience, next Friday is your chance to get wild. Two hours of yoga flow, soulful improvisational music, dance, and musical ecstasy. As per the requests of more than a few folks, we might even be filming…

This just in: Our next Vasudeva Experience has been postponed until Friday, February 11th. Unfortunately, due to absence and illness, our band is unavailable for this Friday’s session, so we’ll take a break instead and save up for a very special event next month. Stay tuned for an update — chances are that’ll we’ll have a verrrrrry special guest playing with us in February. More details soon.

Burn in the fire of love… Vasudeva, 1.14.11

Join us in the new Solar Room at Mandala Yoga Community this Friday night, 6pm to 8pm, for our first Vasudeva Yoga Experience of the year! Burn in the fire of love, and let the rhythms and textured sounds of Vasudeva deepen and support this meditative yoga practice. Kat Seltzer will be guiding our flowing practice, as our musicians set the tone and lay down deep grooves to keep you movin’.

Temple Dance 3 – Vasudeva with DJs Lucius & BPollen

Bend’s seasonal conscious movement party returns with live ecstatic rhythms & melodies from MYC’s own yoga band Vasudeva, followed by DJs Lucius & BPollen channeling shamanic beats late into the night. Join us for opening circle and movement meditation with Kat Seltzer at 8pm! Plus, Crazy Dave will be there with his ginger brew flowin’.

Come dance & celebrate the gifts of the darkness in our beautiful studio space, underneath the laser stars. Dress up, kick your shoes off, and boogie down in Bend’s most welcoming late-night scene.
